Inherited from the legendary Armortec 900P and 900T rackets, the Astrox 88 represents the new generation of twin badminton rackets. It’s no surprise to find in the development team the mythical Korean Olympic champion Lee Yong Dae, member of Yonex’s Legend’s Vision Tour!

Of the two members of this attractive duo (notably used since 2018 by Boe/Mogensen and Gideon/Sukamuljo), the Astrox 88S (S for Skill) embodies the quest for versatility and control, and a perfect profile for the masters of the net. In addition to a classic racquet length of 675mm and a more measured stiffness and balance than its D version, it benefits from a flex point at the T-joint for improved feel.

The Astrox 88S is designed to facilitate control of the net and flat play. The Astrox 88S is a perfect complement to the Astrox 88D, which is designed to enhance attacking play from the baseline.

For both Astrox 88s, the counterbalance theory applied in the Rotational Generator System makes it possible to “erase” the feeling of weight at the head of the net without taking away the offensive contribution. Ideal for attacking without struggling in defence! But the major revolution in the Astrox 88 S – of all the top-of-the-range Astroxes – is called Namd, a high-tech material offering a high-module graphite that is more repellent than ever, for maximum power gain.

The Energy Boost Cap is also part of the premium technical specification for the Astrox 88. This Top Cap is tailor-made to give the Namd material its full power capacity, while stabilising it with lateral reinforcements holding the shaft in place.
