Thought it would be fun to hear everyone's origin story! How did you get into badminton?\n\nFor me, it was PE at school in 1984. Teacher handed me a racket and I just... never stopped. Joined the local club that same year, played county within two years. There's something about the speed and the sound of a clean smash that just hooks you.\n\nWhat about you lot?

My friend dragged me to a social session at our local leisure centre. I was terrible - couldn't even serve properly! But everyone was so friendly and patient. Three months later I'm playing three times a week. It's so addictive!

Grew up watching Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei on YouTube. Those rallies in the 2012 Olympic final? Incredible. Started playing properly at uni and never looked back. Doubles became my main thing because I love the teamwork aspect.
