Seeing a lot of fakes floating around on Facebook and eBay so thought I would share some tips from years of stringing.
1. Check the hologram sticker - genuine Yonex has a 3D hologram that changes colour when tilted
2. The cap at the bottom should have clean moulding with no rough edges
3. Weight should match spec - weigh it without grip and strings
4. The serial number on the cone should be unique - check on Yonex website
5. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is
Happy to check photos for anyone unsure about a purchase.

This is really helpful Ray, cheers. I nearly got caught out last year buying an Astrox 99 from a Facebook seller. The hologram was flat, not 3D. Luckily spotted it before paying.

Great guide! Would add that the string grommets on fakes are usually a different colour or poorly fitted. Also the grip tends to feel cheaper and thinner.

As a beginner this is so useful. Was about to buy a cheap Nanoflare on eBay. Will be much more careful now!
