What a performance from Axelsen at the All England this year. Three straight games demolition in the final. Nobody could touch him. Is he the GOAT of mens singles?

Been watching badminton since the 80s. Axelsen is special but I still think Lin Dan at his peak was untouchable. The 2008 and 2012 Olympic golds back to back... nobody has done that since.

From a coaching perspective what impresses me most about Axelsen is his movement. For someone that tall his court coverage is extraordinary. He has basically redefined what is possible for tall players.

An Se Young on the womens side was equally impressive though! Her semifinal was one of the best matches I have ever seen.
